Rifle Scopes help me pick out a scope for my mark II fv

I just purchased my first rifle a Savage Mark II fvxp that came with a pos scope, I am a newbie to this so any help would be great. I'm looking for a sub $150 scope but will spend a little extra if needed. I will be shooting targets 50-100 yards and a little bit of hunting. I was looking at a Vortex Optics Diamondback Series 2-7x35 Rimfire. I did a search on here for it but i can only find for sale threads. so if you guys can recommend a decent scope that wont hurt my wallet that would be great thanks in advance.

My daughter has a vortex 4x32 crossfire on hers and it does great for the money.

I actually bought one of the new BSA Sweet 22's and it has been a great scope.

Not to muddy the water but they have the vortex viper 2x7 on sale for around $150 at SWFA. Not a bad deal and it will work with 1 inch rings and you do not have to worry about the objective daimeter becoming a problem.

I have one on a 22 and like the knobs retical and glass. I wish I could find any thing else as good, but I just havent.
