Rifle Scopes Help Mounting A Scope on 1903

I have another thread over in Bolt Action about this 1903 I received. It has been drilled/tapped for a scope mount that did not come whit the rifle. How would you guys go about putting a base on? Buy a good base and have new holes drilled? Im open to suggestions. I just want to get this project up and running.

I would find a redfield base and try it. I think that is the hole pattern you have and the most common one. It would be worse if you had a two peice mount pattern, then any ones guess. Good luck.
