Help point me to used 308 rifles with scopes set up for long range. $1500 or less

I just got a Rem 700 SPS Varmint, Choate Stock, Nikon scope, Leupold dual dovetail mounts, and Harris Bipod for $1250. Im getting $50 rebate back from Remington so ill have $1200 in the rifle.

Many good ways to skin a cat, here is my favorite $1500 aproach.
Savage new -$500ish, sell barrel and stock +$125ish=action/$375..........or just call Jim at northland= $375ish.
magowen/shilin or criterion barrel in whatever size, length and twist desired=barrel /$350............
Choate tactical stock (A5)= Stock/$225................
Weaver tactical base and 6 hole rings=Mount/ $70.......
JB weld for skim bedding= bedding/$5......
Leaving $475 for optics results in a SWFA fixed power $320 or Vortex viper 6.5x-20x50 $450.....
.
.
Option two, Any heavy barreled savage in a decent vertical grip stock, HS or BVSS laminant.....and as much optic as I can manage from the left over coin.
The 308 is easy, the scope is the most important part. I do not particularly like used barrels and try to steer clear when possible but again the 308 is easy.......... unless the guy before did not understand how to use a cleaning rod..

seems like a common and proven recipe on here and calguns, which is why I'm building it this way since I have some cash burning in my pocket (well HAD cash). Though I did spend a week on trying to find something better then the SS for $300 or try to justify the $600 vortex vs the ammo I could buy. Weaver TGS almost won out, but figure why not have more mag for the same dollar since it's going to be a range gun 95% of it's life outdoors. Worst case, the SS can go on my me savage MKII 22 BV if/when I upgrade. I'll rock the OEM stock for a few months and get an upgrade, hope the XRAY chassis will be shipping by then. But as is, it's shooter ready. Gives me time to learn long range reading, math and how to use the scope. I'm not used to shooting beyond 130yd (limit of my lil 22) and if so it's with my friend's SPR or 5r winmag. Can't wait for that 1st desert trip:D

Exactly why I went with the SS as well, the 10x will work for what I need for now, and was able to use that extra money for ammo/reloading equipment. I would love a US optic scope or a Bushnell eventually. Maybe after the holidays :D
I was looking into the JAE stock, and really like that one, just don't like the 12month+ wait time! One of these days I'll pick one of those up.
