Help with magnetospeed mount

I have noticed that my magnetospeed effects group size and poi. I don’t have any chassis guns all mine are regular stocks and I am trying to figure out how to mount my magnetospeed to the stock instead of the barrel. Anybody tried to figure out how to mount a magnetospeed to a regular stock?

I believe there is a picintiny rail adapter that attaches to your sling swivel. I’d put that on and then choose whichever rail mounted adapter system you like for the magnetospeed.

MK Machine Mount works good. I thought about making one but decided to go with theirs instead.

How does the MK mount work with a stock? I don’t have any chassis rifles.

i don't own one however this is my understanding:

If you have a picatinny rail to which you mount a bipod....the MK mount has a picatinny rail adapter...

if you don't and you have a sling swivel on your stock there are quite a few picatinny rail adapters that fit on the sling swivel

....i would imagine that you can then mount the MK picatinny mounting system to the adapted picatinny rail.

Perhaps easier to use the Magnetospeed to record your MV and then remove for group. Certainly much cheaper.

I measuered over 100+ air rifles over 2 days with magnetospeed V3 mounted onto a small table tripod and rifles fired of joystick rest. Rest enabled quick adjustment from rifle to rifle to match the bayonet .

I use my LabRadar if I want constant information through an entire range session. I use my Magnetospeed if I want a quick check of velocity ... then I remove it after a half dozen shots (and a Kestrel update), to keep my barrel clear for best group size and scope adjustments. Having both is a blessing, that gives me a lot of flexibility.

You don’t have a picture of your tripod shooting set up do you?

Sorry, don't have a better pick right now. 1" carbon fiber tube mounted in a quick release flashlight mount. The whole thing cost me $40 I think. Haven't checked to see if it will fit around suppressor.

Pretty much bought everything on Amazon. The PVC t you can get at any hardware store and I dremelled it out and epoxied it together. Also, bought a brand new magnetospeed and cut up the mount and glued it into a short piece of CF.

Make sure the rail is long enough to accommodate your magneto speed mount and a bipod

One word ... "LabRadar". I have both, and the LabRadar with the recoil-sensor is turning my Magnetospeed into a dust-collector.

They are definitely a great unit they have only A few drawbacks first their price they are expensive second they eat batteries like crazy you must buy an external battery pack to be practical third they are difficult to aim and miss shots regularly that may be over come with practice and the aftermarket inertia trigger also they are known to be temperamental and break down so that brings their longevity into question and I’ve seen some bad reviews about their customer service But with that being said I still want one just waiting for them to maybe come out with a GEN two model with maybe a few improvements

All valid, but manageable. I never use the internal batteries ... I use an external USB battery pack and it lasts for "days". Never had a problem with missed shots after I got the recoil trigger ... it's a "Must Have" option. I've had my LabRadar and used it extensively for over a year, and it's been totally reliable. But as is the case with everything ... YMMV. Hanging a floppy cloth-strapped gadget off the barrel, never felt like a great idea.

I don’t hang my magneto speed off the barrel I use a mount from wiser precision so it does not affect my point of impact but as I mentioned earlier I still want a lab radar but what I have works very well I just have a few other needs to spend my money on now a lab radar is definitely in my future
