I have a Remington Police 338 Lapua. I just replaced the stock with an AICS 2.0 and had the barrel recrowned. The barrel is fitted with a Badger FTE muzzle brake. Optics consist of a soon to be replaced Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 MC on a 20 MOA rail. The rifle was also bore sighted by the gunsmith. We took the rifle to the range today and our initial shots were high and right but but on paper. As the barrel warmed up, the group tightened up. The best we good do was about 4 inches with two of the shots keyholeing. We let the barrel cool down before we continued. Once we started our second round, the rifle was shooting high and to the right again. As the barrel warmed up, the group started tightening up again. We did notice one other interesting fact. Every piece of brass was flattened slightly on the neck of the round. Any ideas on what we can do to solve this problem. Before the Badger brake was installed three years ago, the rifle was a consistent .75 MOA performer. The rifle has not been used in 3 years due to health issues. Ammo was Hornaday 250 BTHP's. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
