Made a trade, scope for a scope, in the PX on the 21st of November. Scope was to be shipped to me on the 26th and I received confirmation @11:30 that scope had been dropped off at the post office in York, PA. Departure scan of the package came on the afternoon of the 26th at 3:05pm. On November the 29th, the scope reached Lancaster, PA. Took three days to go 37 miles. I thought this was odd but glad to see movement of the package. Departure scan of the package from Lancaster came on the 30th at 5:22am headed to Dallas, TX.

Since that date, the status of the package says "In Transit to Next Facility". Daily updates came saying the same thing. Figured it would take 3 days to get to Dallas, TX so I talked myself into being patient and waiting on the next update. The last notice I received was on the 4th of December. Mail was not delivered on the 5th and I have had no updates since. Post office has no more information than what seems to be in the tracking information I can get online. Has anyone had a similar experience that finally had an update show up and package arrive? I am afraid this package is lost and I am going to be out a scope. If lost, has anyone delt with USPS on lost package? Do I have any other options? Would really appreciate any input you can offer.

I ship to customers every day amd have seen this from time to time. Usually it just starts tracking again eventually.

I had some rings ship from GA priority mail to CO. No tracking from the original post office all the way to my local post office. Took 10 days with no updates. The explanation I got is that is went ground USPS as there was no priority label stuck to the box. They said with the volume right now some don't make it where they should, but eventually get there.

Ive seen where the label is damaged and gets tied up also. I hate when this happens but I have always received my stuff. Call them and have them flag the package. Then when it's scanned in it will keep it there with a note for resolution. Have had to do this when my package went from Denver to Seattle and back to Denver SEVEN times in a row with never attempted to be delivered. Stuff happens!

It’s the busy shipping season. Unfortunately, it’s pretty common. I’ve seen it happen a bunch. It will eventually move again when an employee happens to notice it sitting somewhere. Definitely sucks but don’t just to worst case scenario so soon. Good luck.

Apparently posting about this stirred up the sipping gods. With no updates since the fourth, the package mysteriously showed up and scanned and delivered today.

Thanks for the replies.
