Help with USMC 10X Scope

Hey y’all, joined this forum for specific help on one item, then ended up spending hours going through super cool threads!

Anyhow - I’m trying to help my friend determine if this is an authentic Unertl 10x scope. Very heavy, optics look great but the windage turret seems to be stuck? Thanks in advance for y’all’s time!

It’s an authentic scope, and pic 7 is the clue to the problem.

Some dipshit (hopefully not your friend) has the windage adjustment screw turned all the way in. This will jam the erector tube into the left side of the interior of the scope and is probably what is preventing you from turning the knob.

Loosen the windage adjustment lock screw (set screw on periphery of windage knob), back the windage adjustment screw (center screw) out until it’s flush with the face of the knob, te-tighten set screw (gently).
