Help

Re: Help

I doubt it can be done the right way, but you might be able to get pretty close. Research the Anabolic Diet, and Metabolic Diet. Make it a lifestyle change, get out be active, and eat clean. Lean meat (protein), healthy fats(omaega 3's), complex carbs (veggies), cut back bread and rice, cut out sugars. It is hard, you will probably have horrible cravings for breads and sweets. It will all pass trust me. Walk, jog, lift, what every you like make it a habit and it will become fun.

Don't watch the scale real close, it can be a motivation killer. Take boby measurements, and pics, you will see more progress in the mirror at first.

MAKE IT A LIFE STYLE CHANGE.... NOT A DIET

I have always heard with knee or leg problems the best is to be in a pool.

You might try that for some movement, you won't be able to lose everything with just diet changes.

Re: Help

If you own an iphone or ipod touch, download a free program called "Lose It!". It's a calorie counter program that takes into account exercise. My sister lost 100# in a year on it and has kept it off. I've used it daily for two years to maintain my weight.

This is not the only answer, you of course have to eat right and exercise, but it's another tool to add to the weight loss toolbox.

You should be able to lose 2# a week doing it the right way. You might do a little better initially, but 50# in 4 months sounds like a stretch.

Re: Help

I need to lose weight also. I need to lose half my weight!

I do eat more fruits and vegs. I try walking (but my legs don't help me) but I try. just getting up helps even for a while.

I have a stationary bike. I keep saying to self to do 10 minutes.

Maybe this post will motivate me. I'll monitor and see how others are doing. I re-start NOW!

Re: Help

If you have access to a pool that is some of the best cardio you can do , maybe look into a local gym or YMCA and see if they have a water arobics class. Water arobic is nearly zero impact and offers resistance for the entire body.

Don't only focus of diet but also your proper nutrients , get a good multi vit and take daily.

If you want a copy of the above mentioned "anabolic diet" as well as the "metobolic diet" and a few others shoot me an E-mail and i'll send them to you
