Tremor 4 reticle 45
OR
L Mil dot reticle 60.

Which?

Primary purpose. To see small holes from far away.

Could use with UNS-A2-LR with it as well, which pushes towards 45 due to 15x on low end which is clear where 20x not so much.

Truth to be told, 99.99 of time, daytime use. Will get Slick too.

Help as neither setup is budget. Thanks!!!

Research is a few years old relating to H32 so wanted to see how mil stacks up to tremor 4 and more importantly, which I haven't found, is what you lose seeing by having 15x less magnification in the 45 versus the 60.

Maybe it would be okay with EO to try them both side by side and return the one you don’t like as well, real quick, so you’d be absolutely sure with your clip-on’s? What do you think?

Remember, I had the 60 and they were real good about exchanging it for the 45, because I didn’t like the L Mildot Reticle. Maybe just be up front with them about how kit-gloved you are? It’s an expensive and important thing to make a decision on without having them both side-by-side to match your Clip-on, Day/Night LR needs?

Thought so, but would have to come up $10K at Xmas time. Rather pick correctly right out off the gate.

I have no doubt 15X would be more beneficial than 20X for the clip-ons. My question is more towards the day, seeing 5.56 holes from far away.

It would seem 60X would be better but everyone I ask says go with the 45 without explanation. So ... trying to get one. My guess, all thermal and nightvision that is somewhat available (PVS-30s and UTCs) are better served with 15x.

But that is a super small use for me - nighttime.

Another person basically saying go with the 45. Hahaha. See what I mean. But I hear you. I'll ask them tomorrow when they open,

I have the 60, and would probably go with 45 if I did it over again. The mil reticle makes timing movers easy, but doesn’t help with shot correction near as much as the tree reticle in the 45. You lose nothing from the 15x on top end because you will never use it Inside of 2k yards anyway.

I’ve had the Spotter 45 for a while now and can’t really imagine where the 60 would be better for spotting hits on paper (holes far away). Eye relief/eye box is better on the 45 also.

I have the spotter 45. I was scared to get it because of the reticle. Thinking there’s too much going on but it’s not bad at all. It sits on the lower part of the scope. Spotter 60s reticle is pretty useless. Your better off deciding over a spotter 45 or a swaro btx or swaro str80 with the reticle

Depending on distance, seeing holes will be hard with even the best glass.

A target camera and/or shot marker is better suited for that.

The 60 reticle is hot garbage in what’s almost 2022. If the reticles were the same, you could base your choice off needing 15x. I do as the mirage gets pretty bad here.

I sold and STR80 to get the 45. For the 15x and noticeably larger FoV in the 45.

The tremor reticle on the 45 is not illuminated. I recently went with the 45 and for a clip on 15x is almost too much. So if that is a consideration I would stay away from 20x.

I got the 45 as the reticle was more practical than the L reticle int he 60. Glad i made that choice as the H32 is awesome to make calls on.
