Hey guys and gals,
I have just come across this forum tonight after watching the Day One DVD.
I am a frequent member on a couple of Aussie shooting forums and I'll tell you now that I have learnt more after 3 hours on here then I have after 10 months on the other forums in my native land.
Ok so a bit about myself,
I started shooting about 9 months ago, I have just been practicing on my technique and having fun, I recently just purchased a new rifle and am getting consistent 1/4-1/2 MOA at 100 on factory ammo but I am not happy with it. Since being on this forum and watching day one I have realized that my position is not upto scratch and have been dry fireing and filming myself to narrow down where im going wrong.
I am the first in my family and friends to start shooting so I am basically teaching myself which is sometimes hard but meh, I'm having fun. The main problems I have with my technique are calling the shot and watching it impact as well as my group sizes. I have seen that many people have the same problem as me and have been scanning through their threads.
Ok so the rifles is have are:
Barrett M98b .338LM
Colt M2012 .308
Remington 700 AAC .300 blackout
Howa 1500 .223
Winchester 1892 .44mag (my fav out of the bunch, can't beat a leaver Winnie IMO)
Puma Hunter .22
Savage MKII .22 (I got it in pink so the mrs has more of an interest, the fuss it creates at the range when I shoot it is a bonus )
MAS-36 7.5x54 (two of these)
Berthier Turkish Orman (forestry carbine)
Recently sold my Ruger Gunsite Scout
If I could own semi autos I think I'd have many many more.
Anyways, I just thought this forum is too good and there is too much info on here not to join.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
Cheers,
Alex
