So im finishing up a 338 lapua build and think I have narrowed down the scope choices. All have tremor 3 reticles. I’ve used all brands before and think I’ve been happiest with Leupold, but haven’t had a 45x S&B before

Hard to go wrong with any I would personally run a nightforce beast or ATACR
Kahles or S&B or TT or Minox but Nightforce would be my first choice just because I’ve owned and been around so many and they do perform well under harsh conditions

Kahels is not on the list because they wouldn't even talk to me when I was getting my FFL off the ground years ago. Ive told them to pound rocks multiple times since.

a NXS 32 would have been my go to but its a second focal plane, I believe they are in the same category as Vortex AMG, HD2 or Eotech Vodo, built by LOW in Japan.

I think you are overestimating how many times will use a magnification power higher than 25x (I rarely go above 20x). If you want to see .22 holes in paper then I can see the use, but finding the targets while that zoomed in will be challenging.

In regards to precision shooting most would rarely use below 8x and above 20x.

I agree with Bkultra not sure that you will use much that extra magnification. 25x you can shoot 2000 yards with no problem. Again thats just my opinion. But TT525 hands down best out there S&B close but not as good.

ELR has some unique demands. If you haven't already, I would check the ELR forum.

The new March scope mentioned in that thread.

The MK8 has a 35MM main tube which somewhat limits ring availability. I recently bought my first Alpha scope and bought a couple of sets of the new Burris XTR Signature rings.

The build quality on these looks terrific. They supply up to 40MOA of additional cant.

It's an amazing time to be messing with this stuff. Let us know what you decide on and how it works out.

Bushnell XRS2.

Been using a few this year for PRS matches, great optic. It won the KO2M also this summer. It's a fantastic value at it's price point. Available with G3, H59, and Tremor reticle if I am not mistaken. I have the G3 and G59 myself.

None of the above.

If it’s your money then nothing short of TT or ZCO, house cats are a bitch to hit at 2200
A ZCO? Ha Ha you are going to recommend a scope that isn't even out yet that has absolutely zero track record..... Wow you are one of those dudes that does reviews on a scope right when you pull it out the box before its even mounted with zero time behind it........Please tell us you are not basing that recommendation off their spec sheet......if that is the case how about a Counter Sniper.....LOL

Calmn down, I was under the assumption this wasn’t a serious question as soon as I read house cat. Grow up

Not sure how long ago this was but Kahles is distributed by Swarovski USA now here in the states. For a number of years it was another company that was doing the distribution. They may not change your opinion but just thought you might want to know.
