Putting together my first AR. What's the highest BC bullet I can expect to stabilize from an 8" twisted AR when rounds must feed through the mag?

Not sure if its the highest BC, but I have used the Hornady 75gr HPBT in a 1/8 loaded to mag length with 2000MR powder which yeilded the highest velocity of any powder I have tested with the 75-77gr (by nearly 80-100 fps), and with a BC of .395 its a good choice and not too expensive either.

Lapua 77 Scenar. Advertized at .370'ish, but Litz tested to be around .412
Hornady 75 BTHP is next at .390 something
you listed the AMAX bc, it is not a mag length bullet.
On another note neither is the Berger 82 gr bthp, but many people load it mag length quite successfully.

The 70 vld and the 77 scenar are the best ballistic performers out of an AR magazine.
Hornady's published BC for the 75 bthp are on the optimistic side, per Litz and personal testing.
