Got mine when they only had the one model (equivalent to the Competition). Both have found their way into range-toy SBRs (will work with a ramped 9mm bolt).
You'll be adding more moving parts if that is a concern. And there is some amount of creep if you're considering this for a precision rifle.
If I was in the market, I'd look at the Wilson Combat triggers (for simplicity) or TriggerTech (weight adjustable and cleaner break).
If you're set on Hiperfire, get the Eclipse (nickel coated) and buy from Brownell's so you can return it later on.

I have a hyper fire 3g. You can get it very light without light strikes. Around 1.5lbs, but there is just a bit of creep I dont care for. It's a nice ar trigger, but for my uses, I wouldnt buy another. I prefer geissele national match or even a ssa-e.

I've used plenty of them over the years and like them a lot. My current go-to AR trigger is the Velocity, primarily because it offers a great feel and a relatively low price. I have to admit that my trigger finger is not sensitive enough to tell the difference between the different Hiperfire models (though I've not tried the flat trigger).

thanks for all the replies. The thing that concerns me about the hiperfire is the little red thing that hangs on the trigger. Being a basic Klutz, Id likely lose it pronto.

It snaps in place really tightly. I actually have mine removed as I prefer the flat face of the trigger by itself.
Hiperfire Comp or Eclipse were on all my guns after trying almost everything else. I never got anything near 1.5lb pull though. Lightest mine would do was around 3. I have since switched to Timney Calvin Elites. Those are a true 1.5lb trigger.

Virtually impossible to lose the shoe when installed. You're more likely to lose one of the tension springs during your first install than anything else.

I owned one for the last 2-3 years. I just sold it but only because I have a Timney Calvin Elite AR15 now (1.5lbs single stage) that has multiple shoe styles (blade, bar, hooked blade, curved and skinny bar). It's also adjustable in ergonomics over 4-axis (up/down, fore/aft, rotate left/right, and swing left right).

The 24C is fast for sure and, personally, I enjoyed it alot.

All my AR's have Hiperfire triggers. I really like them, even on a precision build. The lighter you set the trigger pull, the harder the hammer hits. No worries of light primer strikes due to weak springs.

I had a 24C in my 3 gun rifle for awhile. It was a bit lighter than the CMC it replaced but I couldn't get used to the creep so it went in the parts drawer and got replaced by a Timney CE.
Months later I put it in a PCC but after getting used to the CE the 24C kinda sucks dick.
