Why do you feel the need to shoot everything? 🤔
I don’t. There are lots of things I have no desire to shoot and lots of things not worth the fines and or jail time.

ETA: DNR has a habit of releasing animals, denying they’re in your state, then prosecuting people for shooting animals they turned loose and denied being there.

In all honesty, what good do these things serve? How long till they’re released? How long till they’re killing peoples livestock and pets? How long is the sentence for shooting one?

375 H&H. should be good for aurochs, raptors and mammoths too. t rex,not so much.
Oh, I don't know... You could be like Walter "Karamojo" Bell, who killed over 1000 elephants with small-bore rifles like 7x57 Mauser and .303 British. "All" you have to do is sneak up behind them on their flank, and put a quartering shot behind their ear into their brain (aka "The Bell Shot"). Should be easy. :ROFLMAO:

shot 375 off a bench during my long ago youth. in old age a 308 is a heavy round off a bench. advanced age sucks in many ways.

I sold my 375 H&H along with hundreds of rounds to a younger fellow and his son because shooting them just sucks.

I also gave one of my friends who is significantly older than me but much more of a manly man hundred rounds of 265 grain ballistic tip ammunition and he shot a dough with it. “ there is a little hole on one side and a dinner plate hole on the other side.”
What are these 375 rounds that you mention?
They don’t make them anymore… because some asshole made a 375 H&H pistol which caused the ATF the band 375 armor piercing ammunition.

At one point RCBS also made 375 300 grain African grand slam tungsten cored ammunition… shit was not expensive in the early 90s. I’d love to find out what the modern equivalent cost for that would be.

Basically, when you absolutely positively want the bullet that goes through the head of an elephant you use those rounds…. The normal copper 300 grain rounds would do a number on pretty much any large game.
