If I had a daughter that pretty, i'd make sure she could shoot too.

Must be the way the picture is, but it looks like she hit that thing with a .338, cuz that exit "hole" is more like a DOOR.

Very nice photos Jim, thank you for sharing them with us. As always, your daughter is gorgeous, and it's awesome that she's such a nice woman and can shoot. I know sometimes she reads the threads, or you as least pass along the talk. Please congratulate her on her kill. LOL, I love the story about how she kept freaking out about the magazine. I'm with Al Rick, I think she knew it was a good shot, and just wanted to let you sweat a little, lol. Well done and thank you for sharing.

Good for her and you! I'm happy to see guys take there gals out and show them what hunting is all about because everyone that is a true sportman here knows it's not about the kill but the memories! Don't know if she is your wife or daughter and really doesn't matter, that is NEAT tell her congrats I'm sure your a happy husband/Father!

big deer but shayla makes all deer look huge since she is all of 5 foot nothing. tell her congrats from the western wa crew. look forward to seeing you guys again at next years findlay cup.

Have you posted your load for the 129sst in the reloading section??
I bought some 130 TSX and loaded five of them with RL15 37 grains and it is pretty hot.
The 6.5X47L is a very versatile hunting round. Even with pink flutes on the barrel.

This was a load I just tossed together a few days before the season. 129 SST's CCI 450's 28.8 R-15 getting me 2935 in Shayla's 26" barrel. I used the same in my rifle to get a one shot kill at 553 yards last week on a 3x3. Jello-ed the lungs and trashed the onside shoulder even with a rib hit. Nasty bullet even though it hit ribs going in and out at 553 yards!
