hey everyone. i finally got all the components i need to start reloading for my .338 RUM. cabelas was all out of Hogdon Retumbo so i settled for H1000. according to my reloading manual these will perform pretty close to the same. i was just wondering if any of you guys have first hand experience with these powders in this caliber. thanks

My choice for my 300 WIN and also my first choice for my "edge" if it is ever finished.
I get pretty low ES with it too.Under 20 is good for my current loading process.
Lots of folks using it on LRH, might want to look there also.

250 gr Scenar, 89.5 gr RL-25. Worked up the load when the .338 RUM came out and I got one of the first Sendero-SFs made. Had to shoot a box of factory ammo to get brass to load as none was available as a component. Load worked so well that I have zero interest in bothering to try anything else.

Rl-25 works real well in my .300 RUM too.
