Does any anyone know where else I can get this stuff besides directly from the manufacturer? Midway USA used to sell it for about $18, the manufacturer wants $45 plus $26 shipping for an 8 ounce bottle.

Have you tried Brownells, Precision Reloading, Powder Valley, Natchez, Grafs or even Brunos?
I did speak to the owner on the phone. She didn’t mention anyone else that sells it other than some small independent gun shops, but she couldn’t recall the name. Also, those websites you posted. I did not specifically check. Just did a Google search figured it would pop up somewhere.

You might want to read a little more about ATF as there are no "abrasives" in their formulation. They do have detergents but nothing abrasive.
Yeah, didn't make sense to me when I read that and I don't recall where I read that. Transmissions are full of seals and o-rings and close tolerance parts.....but I'm not a hydraulic fluid specialist and I didn't stay at the Holiday Inn last night either.

Personally, I'd not be adding abrasives but I might add some ammonia to eat on copper.

I've never made any Eds but I am sure thinking about it.

I use it, I like it. a bottle lasts forever. don't scrub much with that stuff. I like it mostly for dead/dying barrels or ones that have been shot hard for hundreds and hundreds of rounds and really need a good cleaning.
you'll be happier all around if you stay on top of it with gentle chemicals from the get go but people who tell you don't have strong stuff in your arsenal are overreacting.
I'm pretty sure there is aluminum dust particles in the fluid suspension, which seems like an abrasive to me but perhaps I don't understand some finer point.

I got a bottle included when I got a barrel from pacnor awhile back. Yes, it’s super abrasive but it’ll clean the shit out of it.

Don’t see if offered for sale on their site. I guess this doesn’t help much now that I’m typing it.

You're commenting on copper fouling using a carbon cleaner...

I'm not sure you can read labels.

It would make sense abrasives work faster than chemicals.
I use eliminator on barrels and c4 on suppressors. But I leave them to soak for days and they clean right up in a few patches.
