Rifle Scopes Homemade zero stop?

I saw this on another forum and thought i would ask here. Has any one successfully made a homemade zero stop? Some have found the magic washer, another had drilled a hole in th etop of the turret and installed a set screw. I have a MK4 and called Leupold and they said they could not do it with the M1s.

I can't believe so many optics companies are missing the boat on this. I almost had a cow elk hunt ruined because a extra turn got put into my zeiss turret without me knowing it. luckily the elk was close and being 18" high I still killed the elk. ideally I really like the leupold CDS setup only problem is it keeps you in one turn which is nice but only gives you 15 moa in a turn. if they could make a CDS turret a little fatter around like say the diameter of the nightforce turret but have it have 25 MOA in a turn. I think this would satisfy most everyones needs.

have a gunsmith make a custom base so that when the scope is zeroed at 100 yards it is also at the bottom of its adjustment.
