I have a Leupold 40 X spotting scope (about 15 years old) and want to get a honeycomb objective lens glare reducer. Does anyone sell these? I've seen them on military 40 X Leupold spotting scopes just like mine.

Last February when hunting coyotes in southern Nevada I swear a coyote was sudenly spooked for no other reason than seeing glare from my spotting scope.

(Also some glare reducers for my Bushnell ARC 10 X 42 LRFs would be nice.)

YIKES! $126. for a glare reducer!!

On second thought that mesh cover is sounding better and better.

But there well may come a time this year when I just blow several thousand and get my DTA rifle, suppressor and Horus/Kestel ballistic weather station. Can't keep that IRA money forever. Gotta spend my kids' inheritance. Then I'll get the Tenebraex glare reducer for both the spotter and my Bushnell HDMR rifle scope.

Hey, It's only money.

You could cut any shape you want, like a leaf for example, you can color the cardboard any tactical color you want. It will fit inside your lens cap when you are not using it as well. It's just one way to skin a cat or coyote in your case. Tape, sheer pantyhose stretched over your objective are a couple more.
