No video just information!

My brother and I went out to shoot his new 338 Lapua so I took my AI AE 308 and Rock River A4 Varmint for some long range fun.

Both guns are wearing USO scopes! Both SN3 Tpal - 308 3.2x17 and the 223 is 1.8x10.

To start the day we set targets (12"x12" Steel Plates) at 404 yards and 712 yards. I also put an 8" pepper popper 240 yards.

I then punched the numbers into the Ballistic FTE program for the environmental conditions (already has my gun information as a favorite).

Temp. 66*
Station Pressure 29.09
Rel. Hum 40
Density Altitude 1776
Wind 8-10 mph from 3:00

Went to the HUD output screen and got the results.

Cold Bore shot went right out to 712. 20 1/2 IPHY up and 8 1/2 IPHY right - HIT first shot!

Subsequent shots - Hit, Hit, Miss Right, Hit.....

Shot 404 yards next with AI and it seemed pretty easy compared to that.

Rock River A4 - Same conditions but I started at 240 first.

Cold Bore - 3" left of center Elevation Right On - Next two shots Hit dead center. I think 2.5 IPHY up and 3.5 IPHY Right!

404 yards - 8.5 up and 6.75 right

712 yards - 29.75 up and 13 right

Nothing more than information here!

Had fun! Hope this helps any of you!

Oh yeah! The 338 is a hammer! Built by Saltzman Gunworks in Tipton, Indiana.

Go Shoot!
