Sadly it looks like they aren’t the best for hunting. Yesterday I shot a sheep at 370 yards w a 28 nosler. It took a quick step forward as I pulled the trigger and it hit behind the rib. After entering, the bullet somehow deflected 90 degrees and pin holed back out the stomach and into the back leg. No blood trail. The 2nd shot at 220 looked like a bomb went off. See pic. I’ve been hunting big game for 39 years. I have never witnessed a bullet do either of those things. I still have a cow tag but am going to work up a load w another bullet. I’ll use the rest of these atips on spring coyotes.
