Thinking about getting one, they get 4 of 5 stars on Midway USA. The people there who hate them REALLY hate them... like "hate going to the dentist" kind of hate...

Anyone here have one? Opinions?

Intended use is 9mm.

My guess is that the people who "REALLY hate them" didn't follow the set-up instructions. I have one and love it!!!!! You MUST set it up per the directions tho!!!

When it comes to reloading products, the "I hate brand X" crowd is also usually the "DIllon is the best thing ever made ever" crowd. My suspicion is as you said - either they didn't set it up right and now hate it, or they feel the need to dump on it out of some loyalty to Dillon.

DIllon makes excellent products, no doubt. But that doesn't mean "everything else is junk."

I use mine constantly to reload 40 S&W, 10mm, and 45ACP. I love the thing. It took awhile to set up, but now works flawlessly. I also have the 223 plate, but haven't gotten around to cranking out those rounds yet.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I don't own anything dillon (except one crimp die), but I do think they make good products, it's the mentality of 80% of blue koolaid drinkers that turn me off of their products.

I own the LNL case feeder (It's black actually) and I love it. I had some trouble getting it to feed 357/38 so I need to tinker with that some more since I just got 1k pieces of brass.

I have both a "Red" one and a "Blue" one. They both have little "quirks" but either one definitely beats feeding cases by hand.

I had also bought the Hornady Bullet Feeder for 40 S&W when it 1st came out. I couldn't get that to work at all (bullets wouldn't make it down the tube to the feed die) so I returned it. Hopefully others had alot better success with theirs than I did mine.

Anything I can do to keep my hands away from moving parts......

I've got the Hornady Case Feeder on the LNL AP, along with a "Mr. BulletFeeder" (bullet feeder had to modify to work with the LNL AP so it would clear the powder measure & linkage) for 9mm and 223. As long as you set it up correctly, you'll love it. If you don't read the directions, well then you'll hate it.....

Motto: Read the directions! You can thank us all later, after you're cranking out the rounds! ;)

All the best,
J

I have a Hornady LnL Progressive and was thinking about getting the case feeder, but haven't yet. As far as the press, well like someone mentioned, everything Hornady I have had works if you follow the directions. That being said, Hornady needs to fire their manual guy, rehire him for the bullet production line, and get someone in there who knows how to write a complete and clear manual.
