I have been messing with my LnL AP for about a week now and I have the continuing issue that the priming arm doesn't consistently return to the position where the primer can be seated in the pocket. It sticks under the primer tube location.
If I tighten the primer tube mount up like the instructions say, it hangs up about 90% of the time and I have to fiddle with it to snap it in place.
If I leave it about 1/2 turn from being tight so that the entire tube mount and primer tube itself can float, then the reliability comes up to about 50/50.
I have disassembled it and checked for burrs, cleaned it, and did find a single small burr. I polished it off and I still have the issue.
The second issue that I find is about 15% of the time the plate will not index properly, and I've tried adjusting the index driving "teeth" that are at the base of the operating link, as per the instructions.
It seems that if I want it to run I need to snap it up and down quickly, but that has a tendency to either spill powder or knock the bullet off the case mouth before it's seated properly.
Can some of you guys help me out with the issues? I tried reading through the manual and troubleshooting via the instructions, but I haven't had much luck. It did improve things quite a bit, but it's not even close to 100%.
Am I just being too picky and expecting something to run more smoothly than it really does?
