Told my wife I wanted her to shoot with me at the range as part of my fathers day extravaganza. I dont think I'm going to ask her to come again. Shoots damn near as good as I do....maybe better. First time behind this gun and i dont recall her ever shooting a rifle before.

Women tend to have a natural ability to control their body mechanics much better than most men, which tends to result in them being natural shooters. Its humbling to "teach" a woman how to shoot precision rifle for the first time, and after they get the basics down, shoot as well, if not better than you.

Calling Up Women

Industrialized global warfare, as seen during the World Wars, called for the involvement of massive numbers of human beings. At the time, most societies were still starkly divided along gender lines, with certain jobs being seen as solely for men and others for only women. When they started running out of men to join the military, many nations began employing women in supporting roles, from producing ammunition to nursing to administering military bases.

The Soviets went further, calling upon their young women not just to support the soldiers but to join the fight. Around a million women fought in various branches of the Soviet military. Some nursed and supported, as in other countries, but others drove tanks, operated machine guns, and flew fighter planes.

2,484 of them became snipers. Of those, only around 500 survived the war.

women dont anticipate, is what makes them good at shooting.

case in point

If i took all your lug nuts off your truck but 1 and you had to drive you would drive slowly straight home, anticipating the wheel flying off.

If i took all you wifes lug nut off but 1, your wife would do 10 over the speed limit to get to walmart and everywhere else women go before she comes home. Then when the wheel flys off in a day or two she would swear she didnt know anything about it.

Last year my mother asked me to take her shooting. I grew up shooting, but she never touched a firearm in her life before that day. We shot some handguns, then on to the rifle range. I gave her some basic marksmanship instruction on my CZ527 .223, and set her loose with 5 rounds at 100 yards. She proceeded to put her first 5 rounds into a 0.44” 5-shot group damn near centered in the bullseye...she didn’t even use the set-trigger.

I have literally never managed a smaller 5-shot group with that gun. When she heard that, she hung the target on her fridge and it’s still there.?

She held the CZ more firmly than you do.

Every CZ I own shoots tighter groups with a firm hold instead of a relaxed hold.
Don't know why, but it's consistent with all of them.

I agree. I experimented with free recoil all the way to bearing down on the rifle once I finalized load development. It needs a firm hold to shoot small groups. I look like the Hulk when I’m shooting that little .223. ?

Mine has expressed interest in shooting. I’m in the process of putting her a rifle together right now. And I’d she ends up not liking it, well, it’s another rifle for me lol
