I've built up a very nice shooting RPR but it is heavy and pretty much a bench gun. I've started kicking around the idea of building a smaller and lightweight RPR.
One reason is my state has gone full libertard and they are doing everything they can to get every liberal wet dream through the legislature. I think AR pattern rifles as we know them may be close to an endangered item. Another is I really enjoy shooting my RPR and it seems it would be fairly easy to customize.
What I'm thinking is getting another early generation or unpopular caliber RPR. Installing a medium weight 16-18 inch barrel in the caliber of my choice, maybe .308. Install a lightweight rifle or carbine stock and a smaller scope of moderate power.
Has anyone done this yet? What do you think?
