Noob city ... I know.
Myself and the guy I shoot with are going to Pasquotank, but we're just a couple of Fudds who shoot for fun and we know less than nothing about what to expect and what to practice. Could someone explain how these things are generally set up?
Are we given target sizes and a layout/map before we start off?
Do we get to each position and throw our stuff down and get set up, tell the RO we're ready to shoot, and just wait for clearance to send?
How is the pistol portion usually set up? Is it integrated into the rifle positions or separate?
Since my bud is a much better shot with the rifle we figured I'll spot and slope-dope and call wind for him since he's math challenged, he'll just dial in what I give him and shoot. And then I'll handle the pistol portion. We also figured we'd set the rifle to MPBR so we don't have to dial elevation till we're past 260 yards.
Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.
