Here's the deal. On one my Remington 700's I have a Badger Ord. one piece 0 cant base with the Badger Ord. standard .823 rings. My scope is a Leupold Mark 4, 3 1/2-10 x 40. These rings are the lowest that B.O. makes. With this setup my scopes objective bell is at least 1/2 inch above the top of my barrel.
Any suggestions on a base and/or rings to get me lower?

Thanks, Jim

Yes I'm aware that I can tilt the scope to get the objective closer however for this rifle/scope combination the flat base is more then sufficient. And by using a 20 to 30 moa base it does not accomplish lowering the entire scope.

Low Burris Signature dual dovetail rings/bases will put your scope fairly low.

Another option, DNZ one piece, available in flat as well as 20 MOA, get medium for 50mm and Low for 40mm if you want a flat base. 20moa is only availible in medium and high.

This is a medium 20 moa with a 40mm obj, followed by the same with a 50mm

They are very light weight, tough and well made. They may lack looks, but made in the USA.

I ended up going back to my original Leupold Standard Dovetail 1-piece mount and medium rings. Cheek weld is lower and more comfortable, and is a super sturdy mounting system.

Not to mention, they are very low cost as well.
