How do I attend SHOT SHOW 2013?

How do I, as an individual, not a business or rep, attend SHOT Show? This would be for next year, 2013.

Do I have to be in business?

Can I have a business 'sponsor' me or give me a pass?

We are planning a trip to Vegas and I would love to plan my trip in order to attend next year but I need a valid way in...

SHOT is for industry people, no offense but you're not really welcome there. It's not a consumer show.

They won't let you in as an individual....
You have to be affiliated with the industry. Either having an FFL or as a company showing there.

it's not that hard, as KYS338 said, you simply need an exhibitor to sign you in under their company name. It costed $45 for me last year and the bother of filling out a few forms.

There were so many odd-lots of people there last year (it was my first so I have nothing to compare to) - dinky 'community police action' groups made up of blue-hairs who just wanted to chat all day long if you'd let them all the way to some bona fide military/LEO who were specing out new stuff etc.

It was fun. If you don't take up peoples time when they're obviously busy with prospects then I don't imagine you'd get too many cold shoulders.

If you don't have a reason to be there, you shouldn't be. It's not open to the public for a reason.
