How do you "shine up the finish on an LMT MWSE?

I have noticed one or two posts where the LMT MWSEs (unlike my own LMT MWSE) seem to have a "sheen" appearance to their finish.

Those of you have gotten that effect, how do you do it? Do you oil, or wax, or ?

I like that subtle sheen.

So you use oil, not wax. Would wax work if you don't want an oily finish? What kind of wax?

I emailed LMT. They suggest CLP or Slip2000, applied with a misting spray bottle.

That sounds like it would work to a point, BUT:

- The misting would almost certainly result in the oil also getting into places (e.g. under hand guard) where you could not reach it via cloth to smooth it out

- Oil is not a very durable finish in terms of staying power - has to eb refreshed often

A wax-based solution sounds more promising, but what kind of wax would work?
