I put a Gen 2 Cronus UHD on a Vudoo Three-60 a couple of months ago after finishing the barrel work on that rifle. The Gen 2 has far more distinct clicks on the turrets than my older Cronus scopes, yet they're not as tight or difficult to get a single click as the ones of the single Ares ETR I've been using on a few different rifles. I put that ETR on a 40XB 22RF repeater a few years ago knowing that the elevation turret would get a work-out on a .22, and it was a good plan, as constantly running the elevation turret up & down through several mils while shooting matches with targets from 25-300yds required a good deal of knob-twisting. It didn't hurt the tracking of the ETR, but did smooth the elevation clicks out just enough to be noticeable. OTOH, the new Cronus Gen 2's clicks aren't quite as tight as the ETR's were when new, even though I have caught myself getting two clicks instead of one once in awhile. I expect the new Cronus will wear in nicely as I get more range time on it. I haven't taken the Gen 2 Cronus & Ares ETR out to the range at the same time to compare them as I did back when this thread was started, so have no opinion on how the optical quality compares, but then with all the triple-digit temps we've had the last couple of months, I haven't been out shooting anything very often...
