Yesterday, on the way back from a gun show, I decided to stop by a relatives house for some shooting. In a short while we had gathered together a few family and friends for a good afternoon of hanging out and shooting.
About 2 hours into the shoot a 'friend of a friend', who showed up on our buddy's coat tails, started asking questions that he already knew the answers to. Some total off the wall BS like, "Do you load your bullets to max charge and how far do you seat the bullets?" After a few weird looks the guy keeps spilling his knowledge on firearms as if anyone gives two shits.
After an hour of listening to his jabber I said to the dude, "Dude, go kick rocks in the driveway, 'cause we're here to have fun. Not get a history lesson on loadin' for and shootin' a freakin' AR!" After that he shut up and had fun. I wasn't trying to be a dick. I just wanted him to shut up and have fun so that he wouldn't run off the guys who were trying to just have fun and were too kind to say anything to him.
How many of you know a guy like this, and how do you handle them?
