I have a Savage FP10 (in 308) that I put a wood laminate varmint stock on. The length of pull is way to short for me. I'm 6'4"

What would be a good material to use to increase the length of pull? I'd like some thing that will be sort of easy to work with as I may have to make a few different sizes to try out.

This add on may be on there for a while so it needs to be durable too.

My first thought was to get an old plastic cutting board and chop it up. They are about 3/8 thick so I'd have to stack a few but it might work.

any other ideas?

Re: How to add length of pull?

I saw those and I was hoping I wouldn't have to drill a big hole in the stock.

Besides if I used one of those I wouldn't get a chance to go out scrounging and spend hours out in the garage trying to make some thing into some thing it was never intended to be.

But after doing some scrounging today I think Brownells maybe the best bet. Less expensive and less frustrating in the long run.

I did buy a slip on and its still not long enough. As recoil reducer I think it might be adding to the rifle not staying on target after recoil. It seems to bounce around a bit more than it should.
