That's why my hunting rifle is a Sako Finnbear in .270... And the TRG is only used as a duty rifle. Different applications, different tools for the job.
Finnbear is not quite as accurate as the TRG... but more than adequate for any game.
Your TRG will do the job hunting... And now I can see why you would want to lighten it. But for the cost and trouble of lightening the TRG (and the risk of affecting its accuracy), you could have a really nice Finnbear!
Then you'd have two dead nuts accurate Sako's!
Regardless, post some pictures of your lightened TRG. I love to see what people do to them, because there is a lot of creativity and innovation in the TRG crowd here.
