Precision Rifle Gear How to remove boom mic on Peltor Comtac?

How do I take the boom mic off the earmuffs? Do I simply pull it off, it's on there pretty tight.

They are Comtac Vs with the flexible boom mic.

The bayonet mount is split, you can squeeze it together and pull it off. Usually you can just pull down on them.

It's not working even with pliers. I think I'm just going to cut the damn thing off.

Someone suggested I use a heat gun, so I used my wife's blow dryer on the attachment point and it came off very easily.

If anyone else has this problem, a blow dryer does the trick.

Thank you so much for the blow dryer tip. I was trying for way too long to get it off.
