How to remove ejector pin on AI AXMC BOLT

Hi there,

I have an AI AXMC chambered in 338 lapua magnum and I am looking to remove the ejector pin on the bolt. If any experienced reloader can provide guidance, will be grateful !

I can’t disagree with the above advice because I am not familiar with the specific bolt you are referring too. I’m not a gunsmith however I frequently remove the ejector pins from my Remington style bolts. There are YouTube videos on how to do this but I found this ejector spring compressor tool from Sinclair to be a big help https://www.sinclairintl.com/gun-pa...-remington-ejector-spring-tool-prod34592.aspx There are other tools that are sold individually or in a kit that makes this even easier.

If it’s like the Remington style bolts you have to remove the small roll pin holding in the ejector. It’s small so you can’t mess it up or damage the bolt. Be sure to use the proper roll pin punch. I replace the roll pin with a new one each time but it’s not always required.

This information may not be applicable to your particular bolt design however a search on Sinclair’s or Brownells web site may provide more answers.
