How to secure Molle pouches

I have a TAG marine gladiator chest rig that I use to carry ammo/water at the range or on hunts. The problem is the pouches attach simply by looping through the pals webbing and looping back up. It's simply held in with friction. I've found that it quite easy to detach the pouches when pulling up on the pouches to unzip them or remove a pistol mag from the pouch. Does anyone have a fix for this? Ok not sure if it's unique to TAG products but it sure does annoy me when my pouch comes off when I'm trying to perform a reload

Hmmm I don't think those could attach to the tag pouches. Has anyone else tried this? When the pouches have weight on them they stay in place but with a decent amount of running or pulling up on them they seem to unhook and flop around. I can't believe I can't find anyone else on the internet that has had this problem

if this is the chest rig in question Marine Gladiator Chest Rig with Bib it looks like the mag pouches are internal? can you snap a few pictures?

The mag pouches on the rig itself are internal. I'm talking about adding additional pouches bought separately made by TAG. I Can take some pics when I get home from work to illustrate my point

The tag pouches do not have snap fasteners. If they did I'm pretty sure it would completely solve my problems...

Can you cut off the pouch straps and add some of the plastic malice clips?

Sew some velcro to the back of the straps.

The straps are stitched on. I don't see how I'd attach malice clips reliably.

I agree with weaselwalker above, it does not sound like you are attaching them properly. They need to be woven in and out of the molle on the vest and pouch. Here is a video from YouTube.

ETA: These ones show snaps. The tag ones fold back into the underside of the pouch at the bottom after woven in.

McMillan you're the man. I def had it wrong. I hadn't weaved it through the second time. The problem wasn't the gear. The problem was me being an idiot as usual haha. Thanks man this will definitely help avoid further frustration haha
