How bout "lifting some weights", and "bulking up". I have no problem, with the 300 recoil. I "kind of like it". Now: the 45-70, with "hot loads", gives me bruises. It's a Winchester 1886 Lever gun{read:light gun} My 300, is a Sako TRG. It's a little heavier. That's the "physical side" If you're worried about muzzle rise, and fast shots, then the brake helps you, but NOT your spotter. He'll get blown away. Last time, I shot 30 rnds, with a brake, my spotter "quit". But he wasn't getting paid, anyway. Looked like he'd been riding his harley, with out his helmet.
