Whats your thoughts on these two rifles, if you were to choose one and why. Im planning on using the rifle for target shooting and light hunting use so weight would not be a huge factor. The new howa has a carbon wrapped barrel on the 1500 action and most know about the tikka so I will not put any input on the specs. I'm looking for a 22-24 inch barrel preferably 24" and chambered in 6.5cm. Both are priced evenly.

Easily a ctr

No flies on howa’s as a whole but

Tikka triggers are better

Better mag

Most likely better shooting

Better stock ergonomics

Stainless. Whatever stainless tikka uses its better then the stuff even good mills here in the states put out.

Ez button on stainless ctr.. good rings, good scope, fill an ark.

Keep the fluff and buff Cf barrels, drop in comb camo, that’s for kooks who spend a lot more money then time afield killing shit.

I forgot to add that the stock is also carbon, a picture of the howa.

Lol I'm not all about the carbon I was just putting some of the specs out there. I actually like the tikka alot and was leaning more towards it. I just haven't heard a whole lot on the new howa and if anyone has used one before.
