After I saw the movie I ad the first book. Definitely a good read. I am going to wait to read each book until after I see the movie.

There's three books so I would imagine they'll milk 3 movies out of it too.

We saw it in the theater, and there was something about those kids killing each other that was off-putting. I just couldn't get past that enough to enjoy the movie.

Same here. However, there is one thing that I kept wondering about during the entire movie, and that was; if the lottery has been happening for X amount (can't remember the actual number) of years, why doesn't every district have some kind of warrior training? I could see if it was the first lottery where the country bumpkins or what have you, wouldn't know what to expect. But after years of the Games and knowing that someone from your district is for damn sure going, you'd think every district would be bettered prepared. Of course, maybe that's just me and my twisted mind interfering with a good story.

They talked about that in the book. Warrior training wasn't avail cause some of the districts were so poor they couldn't even feed it's own peeps
