Since I just PCS'ed to Oregon this last year, I have not had the chance to go hunting here yet. I'm planning on deer and elk this fall, but for now I would like to go whack some varmints. From what I am hearing spring is the time to go; does anyone have any places, tips, etc they don't mind passing along? I'm in the Portland area, but I don't mind driving a few hours for a weekend of good hunting. Thanks for the help all...

Re: Hunting sand rats in Oregon

Private property is best Alfafa fields many farmers will let you shoot them. Alot of them around here only want rimfires I am in Lakeview so that is a little far but I am sure you can find a place closer to Bend area, alot of people go to Chistmas valley FortRock area.
