Rifle Scopes Hunting scope under 700

I prefer the Vortex. Nikon Buckmasters offers all different ranges 2-7, 3-9, 4-12 etc. They are not a sexy name like Leupy, but animals drop all over the place with Nikon it won't keep you from killing anything. In Vortex I had a Diamondback 4-16 HP I loved sold it with old AR. consecutive nights took hogs at 314 and 336 yards with it was like they were standing in front of me crystal clear. sorry for typos phone is going crazy can't get post through

With that price point, I’d be searching around for a 3-15 Vortex Razor HD LH. I’m seriously contemplating snagging one to throw on my SPR style 223 AR15 with an offset red dot. Have heard nothing but good things about those scopes.

Try find a Leupold VX5hd on sale or used.
Meet all of your criteria and are awesome scopes, you won't be left wanting.

This. +1000. Same glass as the VX6-HD line with just lower magnification ranges and without illumination. A buddy has one and I truly believe it's better glass than my 3-12x42 Schmidt & Bender Hunter scope.

I’ve owned both the vx5hd and a vortex razor hd lh...both great hunting scopes for the $$, but I sold the Leupold and kept the Vortex. The glass appeared a little better to my eyes.

I’d also strongly consider something from Meopta...they are excellent in low light conditions. I think $700 will be slightly less than what you can pick up a new Meostar R1 for, but thats right in the Meopro price range.

Leupold's warranty is excellent, but if you break your scope accidently they don't always cover it like vortex does. A hunting partner fell on some slick rocks and bent the objective and they'd only give him a small price break on a replacement. I've read Vortex will replace for any reason.

That being said, I replaced Swaro 3.5-18s with Leupold VX6 2-12s with illuminated long range duplex reticle scopes. The dots on the verticle get me out to 500 yards and I love that little red dot for hunting elk in the dark timber. I'm very happy with my choice.

There’s a Vortex Razor HD LH 2-10x40 here in the classified section for less than 5 bills (no affiliation with seller). I don’t need it but it keeps staring at me - maybe you could make it go away?

Best buy I have found in that price range is the SWFA 3-9x42. Awesome optic for the money, holds zero and tracks as good or better than anything else near it's price range, definitely not a chinese toy like many are pushing now days. Yes, I wish the turrets locked or had a capped windage but hey, electrical tape works too.

Other than that a used NF SHV is the way to go.

My vortex razor LH 3x15 has very good glass for the money and the G4 reticle works well for hunting.
I got it for 600 but looks like it can be bought for a little less now.
I like the warranty and use it on a 450 bushmaster so if it doesn't hold a zero can send it back.
It has been fine so far with some warm reloads.
