I hate fireforming brass. Anybody have experience buying the hydroformed stuff from HLR? I couldn't find any reviews through the search function.

I've had them hydroform 1500 pieces of brass over the last couple years. You will get about 4% of your brass back that will be split from the process and will be thrown away. I run them all through a FL sizing die and they shoot great.

Ryan Hunt’s service is good to go. My wife and I have about 700 pieces of brass from him and have been extremely happy with all of it. I wouldn’t hesitate to shoot a match with it right out of the box.

You can now buy the brass directly from him pre-hydroformed and skip the step of sending your brass to him.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy anything from Hunt's. From what I can tell they are solid folks putting great products and customer service out there.

I would not hesitate to have DJ's Brass to hydroform my 6 Dasher brass. All he has done for me have been ready to load and shoot when they arrived. It is very consistent in "blow length" and neck thickness and the shoulders are all nice and sharp.
I did not find that to be the case with brass from Hunt's Long Range.

FOLLOW UP:

I ordered 200 pieces. Shipping was issue-free and I got them a few days after I placed the order. I believe they were shipped the next day. Were packaged back in Lapua box they started out in.

Of the 200: 1 X culled for split neck, 2 X case mouth dented during shipping, 1 X bumped .010" short as measure by Hornady headspace gauge, 3 x required trimming (+.004" OAL from shortest case was tolerance). Necks were all .267

Overall, I'd order again. Very consistent, convenient, and 2/200 I can't fix is still batting 99%.

I bought Hunt's 6 Dasher brass to compare to DJ's. There is no comparison; DJ's is far better. I had DJ do 100 pieces week before last that I then loaded up for a 1,000 BR match. The brass was ready to go with only neck sizing. It had even been annealed after all the reshaping it had gone thru (really hard on brass). The biggest difference is his brass has properly formed square shoulders at he body juncture and minimal runout caused by his forming process. Great brass, great service; if you use his brass once you will not go anywhere else.
