I rode with a friend up to a local gunshop taking a break from working aroud the house earlier today. Having no intentions to buy anything I was just talking and looking around waiting on him to get what he needed minding my business, not buying anything at all. Then I walked by the gun rack and seen a savage 110 used lightly scuffed on the stock, I figured I would just look at it being curious. That's where I messed up! Gun was a 30-06 w/ a price tag of $250.00 perfect for the 6mm-06 build I've just got the itch for. To shorten it up a little, It's sitting in my safe, lol. I may take this task on my self to rebarrel this one since I'm not going to a full build. Going to make one heck of a varmint/deer rifle.

The addiction part is I'm still waiting to get back my rifle being built now and already have another to send. Is there a cure? I heard this disease is highly contagious and air borne.

Thanks to the fine people on hide I have been stricken with it.

It's your fault! That's why I've got 2 rifles in-bound, 1 being made and this afternoon I just bought another one. Finally, someone I can blame.
Enjoy the 30 06, sounds like a great deal.

Ain't that the truth. I am down to having 2 rifles without optics. I am definitely not a scope switcher. I like being able to pick up a rifle out of the safe and know it is zeroed....just like my bank acount while trying to buy optics for them.
Oh, and defintely go shoot the 30-06 before you use it in a build, just for the heck of it. It might even be a better deal if it turns out to be a sub 0.5 moa gun! Also, there is no cure for the addiction, but you can ease the pain by buying another rifle

I found the easiest way for me to stop building on Savages is to start building AR-15's. I have THREE AR's in the worx at the moment. But the good news is I am not working on Savages anymore.

A couple years ago I had several extra scopes laying around. Now suddenly I have to swap scopes around just to shoot all the guns.

The worst part is that in the old days every scope I owned cost more than the rifle it was mounted on. What happened to those days? Precision guns must be like crack - try it once and you're hooked.

After spending far too much on my bolt gun I picked up a stripped AR lower at a gun show, figured I can't get into too much trouble with this..........................

So your wrong about one thing. Its not air borne sickness. Its most commonly spread via touch, the CDC has no idea yet, but it may also be one of the first Internet viruses to actually infect a human.

and rhantz... be careful with that mindset.. It bit me in the ass, now I'm deep into a $5K build...
