I understand, though.

On first reading I just thought "Fucked up." and blew it off. Then I read it again. Weird? Yes. But bottom line its no one's business but theirs. Will the kids be fucked up.? Who knows. I know some kids who were raised by lesbians who are the nicest most well adjusted youngsters I know. I know some raised by 2 so called normal male/female couples that are entirely fucked up.
