I would like to see a $5 fee added to every "Moneygram" or "Western Union" cash transfer that leaves to country....Mexico siphons billions of dollars out of our economy every year, why shouldn't they be taxed for it?

Just a quick calculation on how much money leaves the country via western union through my wife's store alone is nearly $100K....and that is one suburban store, 2 crews of mexican landscapers. All the guys she deals with have ID and work visas, she cards them all so it's all legal.

Fuck me for being tongue in cheek on an equally absurd concept such as the wall. Let’s look at main things the wall is supposed to accomplish:
Immigration-Tunnels are still a thing and will be more of a thing going forward. Also, people can climb over them regardless of the counter measures you put atop. Lastly, it’s a wall, people will find a way to break through it
Violence-This is due to the money being made in sex trafficking, human trafficking and drug trafficking. Drugs wouldn’t be such an issue if the USA wasn’t the largest consumer, until that changes there will be no shortage. Those guys moving drugs also have lots money-the wall won’t stop an airplane or airplanes . For sex and human traffickers see above regarding tunnels, going over and thru the wall.
There is no easy or simple solution to these problems but I guarantee that a wall won’t help either-it’ll just make you snowflakes ‘feel’ better

80 percent of the people and drug traffic coming across the border is overland. if a wall stopped even 50% of that it would be worth it fiscally. Yes people will find ways over, under, around it but the number will be way smaller than it is now. There are also ways to combat tunnels, climbers, airplanes, etc.. It's not just drop a wall and walk away. A wall is a good start for an actual security plan.

Cops, to arrest people. Deters some, sometimes.
Armed citizenry (in most places). Deters some, finishes up where the cops left off.

I just pointed out the fact that there are some areas where it's not necessarily a practical or effective solution....still need doors n whatnot ya know....wall in the rio grande becomes dam in the rio grande etc..

To the scientific mind, experimental proof is all important and theory is merely a convenience in description to be junked when it no longer fits. To the academic mind, authority is everything and facts are junked when they do not fit theory laid down by authority.
I find people who rely on received wisdom and received opinions from academia almost always have zero common sense. These are the people who have schooling, but are totally uneducated. Even when confronted with a simple and common sense statement like, "Walls and fences deter trespassers", a statement so mundane and unremarkable it boggles the mind, that someone could strongly disagree with it in the face of 10,000 years of recorded history is pretty much proof positive that something is broken. Somebody get ahold of sherrif arpaieo (?) and maybe he can get his chain-gang to start leading the way. Give 'them' an incentive... something along the lines of "dig this hole or you'll be under the mound".

Take unattached, unemployed men and put them to work in a paramilitary atmosphere.

Don't most drugs come into the country through ports of entry anyway? Maybe we can do better there. Wall? Don't mind it, so long as we don't have to take a ton of land from private citizens.
