I can't focus both cross hairs

I first noticed this a few years ago while looking for a scope. I could not get the horizontal cross hair into focus when looking into Nikon scopes any of there models. My old 10X SWFA no issues. My hunting scope Cabalas Alaskan guide 3X12 no problem. My new Sightron SIII 6X24 for a split second both cross hairs are clear then the horizontal one gets fuzzy. Is there any way I can change this, I know it cant help with accuracy. I am right handed and shoot right handed but I am left eye dominant could this be it. Any help would be appreciated I really like the scope and want to keep it . Thanks

on another note my friend can see the cross hairs just fine.

I just experienced this same problem. Just installed a NF NXS 8X32-56 on my R700, and was seeing double crosshairs. I was advised by one of the "more experienced" shooter there, when all else fails, back the lock ring all the way in and screw the eyepiece reticle all the way in and then start screwing it out until I saw ONLY one line. I wear glasses and yes this did work.

What do you mean buy the lock ring I know how to adjust the eyepiece thanks

Well, if your friend can see through it fine then it is probably not the scope. If you know how to adjust the eyepiece for focus then ther is not much we can help you with. Adjust the eyepiece for focus with your eyes and march on...

I have tried adjusting the eye piece the horizontal cross hair only stays in focus for a very short period of time after I open my eye when I'm on the rifle the vertical crosshair is pretty focused no matter where I move the eye piece maybe I will try looking through it with my left eye.

I have astigmatism also, and I now wear glasses(corrective lenses). But i was able to focus the reticle to my eye. (note: I tried focusing with glasses on and glasses off. Settled for glasses on). Pretty sure most upper end scopes can correct for most eyes.

To the OP, get some help at the range, and if everything else fails, call the manufacture. I'm not familiar with the Sighton line, but if you can't make it work for you, screw brand loyalty and try something else.

Had the same problem. I just started shooting w/o corrective lenses. Problem solved. That's if your scope will allow you to
Set it up like that. Mine was an NF. Got new contacts and back to seeing again
