Hey, Sniper's hide!

I wasn’t happy with expensive ballistic calculators, so I'm creating a free one. In order to improve it, I’ll need your honest feedback!

At this point the app is pretty straightforward but functional. SPOTTR can calculate your shot groups, and keep a shooting diary. You can customize shooting success criteria, set up actionable targets, track results, and share them with friends.

The app gives useful insights and results are presented to be as encouraging as possible. I hope this would be useful for both new gun owners and experienced marksmen, and give you motivation to work on your skills.

You can try SPOTTR for Android devices - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.sport.shooting

Feedback is very welcome as I' deciding what features to add later. What would you request?

An update is OUT! Now the app is completely free. I realized that I should give to the community a working product first, and build it up based on what you request. So please, share your feedback:

- What do you think about the app in its current state?

- How do you usually track your score? Do you use some other ballistic app?

- Is there any specific feature you’d want to see next?

I thought of an idea for the app, I'm not offended if you just ignore the post!

Could you add in a section for reloading data/log. Then start a log book from your app for load development etc..

Be nice to have a good app like this and have a load development /data book attached to reference and look back at. Now I use a binder but wish it was all on an app for ease of use.
Just a thought!

Downloaded and used for my first two targets from the weekend. I like it and it simplified an issue I had with a target I took a photo of but could measure now. I knew the target size but couldn't extrapolate.

Nicely done!

This is a very interesting idea! I want to focus on making basic functionality right first, but I will add this to the backlog!

Just downloaded the app earlier to play with. How do you delete an image as I apparently did something wrong. Haven't seen that option.

Am I doing something wrong? Don't seem to get anything after "add overlay".

Export just wants to share via email, etc. No overlay, no save, etc.

Hey there Snipers!
While I'm working on new features, you recommended me to add, let's discuss your experience with SPOTTR. Is it useful for you? How it helps you (or not) to improve your shooting skills?

Could you please tell me what exactly went wrong so I can fix it?
I open the app, I add a pic, set the gun, bullet size, scope, etc.
Add a pic from the gallery.
Select 100 yds
Set 1" reference
Set POA
Add impacts
Then select "Next"
Then tap "Add Overlay".
It is at this very point I'm unsure of what your program is doing. It takes me to this screen which doesn't look like much of an overlay, but more of a footer to the image, with very little detail and zero confirmation or options to do anything. Swiping any direction does nothing.
As best as I can figure, I can't save the file. So do you export here? And export to where? All I can see is to export and email it to myself, or am I supposed to export it to the cloud or something?
Makes no sense at this point and isn't very intuitive.
This is basically the same point I got to last time.
So I moved on and went back to Ballistic-X. I can insert an overlay, add information to the overlay, put the overlay where I want on the target, crop, zoom, etc.

Good luck!

Is this your "overlay" ?

And where do I save this for later reference? Or add powder, velocity, temp, etc.
Or is that not an option?

Hey there! I've made a video manual for SPOTTR app and put it on YouTube. You can find it by the link below. Let me know if everything is understandable or I need to improve something

Thanks for your feedback.
Functionality is to be improved and adapted as the development progresses. Right now in pro version (as a one-time purchase) you can leave your notes on the "results" tab. That might not seem too convenient at the moment, but your comments and feedback about it really helps me to figure out what to change in the future.
Thanks once again.
