The field grade officers and Senior NCO's will be the ones on the ground. I have faith in them, their intelligence, and the sincerity of their oath. This was to much touting and support from American Progressives and they hitched their horses to the wonderful "science" and engineering of the Reich. Hell, The Bund was a big deal in the USA during the '30s. But, the excesses of the Reich were too much, and Americans turned against the Nazis when they started conquering, and they also turned against their American Progressive supporters. WWII basically stamped out progressives in America, because they were (are) basically American National Socialists.

Really, no leftist has been stupid enough to call themselves a "Progressive" (what they really are) since 1940. It took two or three generations for the stigma of what they actually are to wear off. In the interim they coopted the term "Liberal", even though there is ZERO liberalism in their ideology. We are still spitting that word as an epithet even though WE are the real liberals and always have been.

I suspect we are moving into a period like the late '60s to early '70s where progressive/leftists were trying to start a revolution and bombing and killing police/military as more political statements than any real show of popular support.
