I was just watching tv and there was the wise old owl Tootsi Pop comercial. The world may never know the say. I know! 419, yes, 419 licks to the center of a Tootsi Pop. O.k. I was realllly bored on a very uneventful deer hunt and just had to find out. But that doe not really matter because now if any one ever asks you can give them the answer.

Was watching a show in the history channel while sitting in the hospital room after my wife had twins.

Anywho, some college built a machine to test this. It was way less around 250. Better test again on your next trip.

Although my wife has told me that I am a machine I believe that this requires a human touch. And at the same time I see this as a challenge. Come next deer season I will retest my results.

I was about 12 or 13 when I tested it. First one took about 9, but that was hitting the thin side.

A more regular one takes about 50-60 most of the time. Regular licks. I will NOT treat my candy like Candy acts when "giving" someone "candy".

Maybe I just got a really good one or got the thick side. I am going to have to try this again real soon. I am just amazed that I am not the only one that has tried this and that I am going to have to do more "research" on the matter.

Are we looking at ANSI or CIP standards for this test?

I've read the [whoknowswhose] standards for leak-testing windows and walls in construction defect litigation--not even half-a-page long.

The Tootsie-Test should be of similar brief detail. First step is it's gotta be a regular full-size, not those chintzy mini-size that get sold around Halloween time.
