I pulled the trigger today

Ive been looking around the local stores for about a month trying to find a good long range shooter, and today I found it, and bought it. Its a Kimber L.A. Police Tactical 300 Win Mag and I pick it up on the 23rd. Merry Christmas to me.

LOL I can tell you how well the Advanced tactical 300WM shot from the factory. Was less than impressed. Took a professional pillar bedding job to get it right. I would prolly go ahead and make plans to get it pillar bedded right off the bat.


I have looked that the Police Tactical 300WM, and would like to buy one but am still sorta butt-hurt over my $2500 factory rifle that wasn't built right in the first place. Now it shoots pretty well with certain loads.

When I came back to the box I had it sent for Pillar bedding and this is my next trip home

Well I went and picked it up today on my lunch, got it home and threw on a harris and stock pad(thanks to triad). Still haven't picked out a scope yet but here she is as of now. (sorry that the flash is crap)

I hear you on the wish for a tactical knob from Remington. I'm sending my MILSPEC's bolt out after the new year to get a better solution installed.

If you look at the Remy lineup they do offer a model with a tactical bolt knob fromt the factory. Looks like shit, but they do offer!

Thanks Poke, I never knew. For 75 bucks I think I'm going to go the AZPrecision route on my 5-R.

Looks nice. What sort of stock is that? All the Kimber Tacs Ive seen had McM A5s on them.

Its the same stock that is on the La Sanora model just a laminated wood stock painted black.
